Full description

Buck, C., 2002, Devon Great Consols: Archaeological Assessment, 219-20 Fig 38 (Report - Assessment). SDV241758.

Large open gunnis at Wheal Frementor in Blanchdown Wood which was probably worked in the 18C & again in the middle of the 19C. The survey in 2002 found the feature 15m long x 15m deep x 4m wide with an old concrete & timber post fence. A narrow openwork cut into the south side of the gunnis. Timber setts were visible in the flooded gunnis. Other details: Site 352.
