Full description

The quarry is outlined but not labelled on OS 25"(1880s) map.

Long stone quarry extending from SX43037338 to SX43127332 shown on the 19C maps along the northern side of the flat rod cutting (see PRN 56089) from Agnes wheel to Anna Maria Engine Shaft. The quarry may have opened during the excavation of the flat rod cutting in the late 1840s. The survey in 2002 found the quarry up to 10m wide with a rear wall up to 7m high.
