Full description
Buck, C., 2002, Devon Great Consols: Archaeological Assessment, 237-8, Fig 38 (Report - Assessment). SDV241758.
The survey in 2002 at Devon Great Consols mines found a large area of small prospecting & lode back pits in Blanchdown Wood running east from SX42237288 to SX42317291. Area of small sparsely distributed pits with average dimensions of 2.5m long x 1m wide x up to 1.2m deep. The elliptical shaped spoil heaps on the downslope sides were up to 1.5m high.
