Marked on first and second edition 25" OS maps as 'M.S Kingsbridge 1 Salcombe 5'.

Milestone on A381, located approximately 70m south east of West Alvington Butts opposite the cricket pavilion on the west side of the road on grass verge under a tall hedge. Placed by the Kingsbridge and Dartmouth Turnpike Trust c1759. It is now worn and chipped and parts of the legend (painted in black) on the left hand face are missing. It reads ?/Kings?/1 To/Salcombe/5. The grid reference is given as SX71850 43734.
