Full description

Department of Environment, 1986, Cullompton (List of Blds of Arch or Historic Interest). SDV336339.

Tomb chest 8 metres north-west of St Andrew's Parish Church in Cullompton. Tomb chest. Late 17th or early 18th century. Stone. Moulded plinth, slab with concave chamfer; two shield panels to each side with plain panel between; one shield panel to each end. Very weathered, the inscription obliterated. (cf. similar chests at Rewe, Poltimore and Huxham).
