Milestone situated beside County Stone in Combebow outside Glenfield Cottage. Worn, dirty stone with chips around edges. Inscribed 'End of Okehampton Trust'. Placed in about 1760. The old A30 retains a surprisingly good number of milestones set up at various times by the three Turnpike Trusts (Launceston, Okehampton and Exeter) that managed it. The milestone in Combebow marks the boundary between the Launceston and Okehampton Trusts. Other details: Site visits May 2004 and August 2005.
