The site of a Second World War searchlight is visible as a circular earthwork.

The site of a possible Second World War searchlight is visible as a circular earthwork bank on aerial photographs of 1944 at East Charleton. The circular bank measures approximately 13.5m in diameter with a central circular pit which measures approximately 3m in diameter. The earthwork has been ploughed away after this date but is still visible as a cropmark by 1951. The site is no longer visible on more recent aerial photographs.
