Two circular shaped vegetation marks, both circa 10m in diameter, are visible on aerial photographs taken in 1946, to the east of Dornafield Cross. The regular shaped marks may indicate an area of worn vegetation which are not visible on other aerial imagery available to the survey. They are of largely uncertain origin, although the presence of a Second World War searchlight battery recorded in this location may add some support to these features representing part of an associated feature which had been cleared, or levelled by 1946.
