Marl Pit with building adjacent shown and marked on Ordnance Survey 1891 1:10560 map within east side of Common. Still marked on modern Ordnance Survey 1:2500 map. Much if not all of the area lies within an enclosure which is excluded from the survey. The site was not seen during the survey, at which time much of the surrounding ground was boggy and impassable.
