Full description
Exeter Archaeology, 2003, East Devon Heathlands Archaeological Survey, 16, Part 1; 105, Part 2: Gazetteer, Site No. 333 (Report - Survey). SDV101648.
Small quarried area within triangular wooded area to west of road and northwest of Whitecroft. Circa 30 metres by circa 15 metres by up to 2 metres deep. Likely to be related to probable gravel extraction as on east side of road in area known as Huntshayes Pits (see site 332). Nothing marked on Ordnance Survey 1890 1:10560 map (59SW) in this position.
