The house called Starveacre is shown on the Tithe Map/Apportionment as a house and garden, owned by Stockland Church Wardens. The building was shown as Dick’s Cottage in 1891 (Ordnance Survey 1:10560 Sheet 59SE). The plot appears to have been enclosed from the former common. The site lies just outside the survey area boundary.
