Ordnance Survey, 1880-1899, First Edition Ordnance 25 inch map (Cartographic). SDV336179.
Milestone marked 'M.S. Dartmouth 10/Kingsbridge 5' on 1880s-1890s 25 inch Ordnance Survey map.

Date of Survey 5th August 2004. Milestone in Stokenham close to Holbrook Terrace, on grass bank above road. Inscribed 'To/Kingsbe/5/To Dartmo/10'. Worn with dents in face and on top. Residues of white paint on face. One of a remarkable run of milestones between Kingsbridge and Dartmouth. The Kingsbridge and Dartmouth Trust was founded in 1759 but the extant milestones are probably of 19th century date.
