Full description

Ordnance Survey, 1880s, Ordnance Survey (Cartographic). SDV848.

Two small sub-circular features are shown on OS 25" (1880s) map at SY12339322 which may represent the site of the marl pit.

A field to the north of Big Wood was called Marl Pit Hill on the 1840 Sidbury Tithe Map Apportionment for Plot 1437. The location of the marl pit is not known.
