Site of 'Old Marl Pit' shwon on OS 25" (1880s & 1906) map on the west side of the field boundary. Other details: Also on OS 25" (1906) map.

The OS 1891 map depicts a feature marked ‘Old Marl Pit’ in a field to the south of Harford Common. The feature is still shown, but not marked, on 1997 OS 1:25000 map (Explorer map 30 ). The 1891 map shows several other pits, all marked ‘Old Marl Pits’ in the surrounding area.
