Full description
Exeter Archaeology, 2003, East Devon Heathlands Archaeological Survey, 143, Part 2: Gazetteer, Site No. 270 (Report - Survey). SDV101648.
Large area of quarrying on the south side of Harpford Common was identified during the survey in 2003. Irregular hollows/pits up to 3m deep were cut into the hillslope. No quarries are shown at this location on the OS (1891) map.
