Full description

Ordnance Survey, 1880s, Ordnance Survey (Cartographic). SDV848.

Site of a well shown as 'W' on OS 25" (1880s) map to the east of 'Sharp Pit Cottage'. The feature is not present on OS 25" (1906) map.

The OS 6" (1891) map depicts a well on the south side of Harpford Common. The well was not located during the survey in 2003. The nearest dwelling shown on the map is Sharp Pits Cottage to the west (see PRN 72257).
