Full description

Exeter Archaeology, 2003, East Devon Heathlands Archaeological Survey, 22, Part 1; 151, Part 2: Gazetteer, Site No. 260 (Report - Survey). SDV101648.

A figure-of-eight shaped track & three linear features probably associated with WWII visible on 1946 aerial photograph. The linear features may represent three trenches found during the field survey (see site 257). However, the latter may lie further to the north. The trackway probably represents a vehicle training track. No trackway, or other features, were located in this area during the field survey at which time the area was under dense gorse.
