The survey on Mutter's Moor in 2003 found a number of small excavated areas in open woodland which may be related to modern 19th or 20th century gravel extraction. A T-shaped area was 8m x 5m, a sub-square feature was 3m x 3m & a rectangular area was 11m x 6m. Overgrown areas of the wood may contain further workings.
