Full description

English Heritage, 1974, Salcombe (List of Blds of Arch or Historic Interest). SDV335625.

Nos 3 - 9 Victoria Place in Salcombe. Probably circa 1840, 2 storey terrace row (Nos 3 and 4 somewhat advanced). Front gardens with ornamental cast iron railings on low front wall and gates with slender column standards with urn finials. Nos 3 and 4, slate roofed verandah on cast iron columns, doors with 6 fielded panels and fanlights. Nos 5 to 9 (consecutive), 1 window each at lst floor, some houses with glazing bars remaining. 6-panel doors remain to Nos 5, 8, and 9 (No 8, with glazed upper panels). In important position on quayside. Nos 3 to 9 (consecutive) form a group. Other details: LBS No 397806.
