Department of Environment, 1974, Salcombe, 8 (List of Blds of Arch or Historic Interest). SDV155971.

Nos 7 to 9 Clifton Place in Salcombe. 18th century altered 2 storey, part with attic, stone, north face plastered and colourwashed with altered windows, mainly casements. Entrances, south, to court. West faces Fore Street with passage under, south, old hung slates at 1st floor at rear, and flush frame sash window with glazing bars. Massive central chimney. Roof of red machine pantiles. Nos 2 to 9 (consecutive) and the Waterfront Buildings, Whitestrand Quay form a group.
