Full description
Exeter Archaeology, 2006, Archaeological assessment of Barton Farm, Monkleigh, North Devon, 7 (Report - Assessment). SDV337524.
A small squarish farm building (Building 9) at the northern end of the western range at Barton Farm house may have been used as a stable. The building of stone rubble with cob at loft level had been extended on the north side. The building appears to be shown on the 1840 Tithe Map & the 1887 map adjoining Building 8. Other details: Figs 4-5 & Plate 8.
