Full description
Exeter Archaeology, 2006, Archaeological assessment of Barton Farm, Monkleigh, North Devon, 10 (Report - Assessment). SDV337524.
A sketch of 1816 marks 'cottages' immediately to the south of the churchyard with 'garden' to the south abutting the road. No buildings were shown on the 1809 map but a large house had been built on the site by 1840. The house was called 'The Chantry' from the late 19th century. Other details: Figs 3-4.
