Small, rectangular gable ended building of random rubble construction with a corugated metal roof. Two massive stone piers with iron pintles incorporated in south side. A small building in this position first appears on the 1890s 25 inch Ordnance Survey map. Its location in relation to a former access track suggests that the stone piers are probably part of a former entrance to the farm of Lower Howden. It is in this area that traces of the former farm may be located.
