Context One Archaeological Services, 2006, Castle Grove, Bampton: an archaeological field evaluation, 4 (Report - Evaluation). SDV337932.
Plot 61 shown on the 1842 Bampton Tithe Map Apportionment as 'Three Cottages and Gardens' owned by Elizabeth Davy & occupied by Thomas Hawkins. There are three cottages shown on the south side of Castle Street on modern maps & they may relate to the group of cottages mentioned as Orchard Hams in the area of Castle Grove.
