Site of a bridge signified on the aerial photograph by a former track running east to west on both sides ot the River Dart.

'American Bridge' to the north of the old bridge at Totnes was constructed in the 1940s by the American forces for access and was blown up after the war. Track visible on the 1946-9 aerial photographs leading to the area and a possible pier structure sited in the river at SX8076960739.
