Full description
Wessex Archaeology, 2007, Historic Environment Audit of Devon County Farms. Pilot Project. Results of East Catkill Farm, Rose Ash, South Molton, 4, 9, pl.6,7 (Report - Assessment). SDV338186.
Barn or cattle shippon with hayloft situated opposite farmhouse. Appears as rectangular building on 1844 Tithe Map. Two small buildings have been attached to the east and west ends in the 20th century. Originally constructed of stone and cob, the north side has been partly refaced in brick. Hipped roof covered in corrugated tin sheeting, probably originally thatched. Other details: No 1481.
