Full description

Wessex Archaeology, 2007, Historic Environment Audit of Devon County Farms. Pilot Project. Results of Great Blakewell Farm, Chittlehampton, 4, 9, pl1 (Report - Assessment). SDV338342.

Single storey stone structure with pitched slate roof. Red brick dressings around the window and door openings. May be all or part of the building shown in this position on the 1842 Tithe Map, although stylistically the building appears to be more of late 19th century date. The 1888 Ordnance Survey map shows a free standing building in this position. Other details: No 1469.
