Full description

Wessex Archaeology, 2007, Historic Environment Audit of Devon County Farms. Pilot Project. Results of North Hele Farm, Buckland Brewer, Bideford, 4, 10, pl. 4 (Report - Assessment). SDV338478.

Small single storey building first shown on 1887 Ordnance Survey map. Probably originally a pigsty as there are several low blocked openings in the north facing wall and the 1887 map shows a small enclosure on this side of the building. Constructed of stone with red brick dressings around windows, doors and corners. Inscribed date plaque in west gable reads 'M. R. 1878'. In good repair, reroofed with modern corrugated sheeting. Other details: No 1531.
