Full description

Wessex Archaeology, 2007, Historic Environment Audit of Devon County Farms. Pilot Project. Results of Thorndon House Farm, Ashwater, 4, 9, pl. 4 (Report - Assessment). SDV338612.

A rectangular building is shown in this location on the 1842 Tithe Map. The present buildings are of stone with red brick dressings around the windows and doors. A small barn with hayloft above stands at the west end. The other buildings are a mixture of shelters or stabling. The roofs are all covered with corrugated tin sheeting. Other details: No 1436.
