Full description

Wessex Archaeology, 2007, Historic Environment Audit of Devon County Farms. Pilot Project. Results of Thorndon House Farm, Ashwater, 4-5, 9 , pl.5-6 (Report - Assessment). SDV338612.

Stone barn shown as a rectangular building on 1842 Tithe Map. Present building is enclosed by lean-to's and an extension to the south west corner with a large steel-framed modern barn against the south east end. Pitched roof covered with corrugated asbestos sheeting. Internal access not possible. Small cart shed at west end. Other details: No 1437-8.
