Wessex Archaeology, 2007, Historic Environment Audit of Devon County Farms. Pilot Project. Results of Waterford Farm, Musbury (Report - Assessment). SDV338613.

Historic environment audit of Waterford Farm undertaken by Conservation Management, a division of Wessex Archaeology, for Devon County Council. Waterford Farm is one of the 93 farm holdings that make up Devon County Farms Estate. The farm currently covers an area of c26.5 hectares. The field boundaries are characterised by straight hedges with some trees and for the most part are those shown on the Tithe Maps although a number have disappeared since that time. The fields may, therefore, have been formed in the late 18th century after the enclosure acts. The area of Waterford Farm forms part of the Taunton Stop Line, a WWII defence system of local and national importance.
