A rectangular range of ruined, roofless buildings is visible on aerial photographs of 1972, partly obscured by dense tree cover of Cann Woods. The visible structure probably corresponds with a building depicted on the Tithe Map for Plympton St Mary and the Ordnance Survey First and Second Edition 25inch maps of the 1880s and early 20th century. It is associated with second smaller structure within an oval enclosure to the north-west on the OS maps. The function of the buildings is unknown, but the proximity of Cann House and Cann Cottages might support an interpretation of a domestic role.
The ruined structure remains identifiable on digital images derived from aerial photographs taken in 2007 and 2018.
