Full description
Exeter Archaeology, 2006, Archaeological Assessment of the Appledore Fish Dock, Appledore, Northam, 5 (Report - Assessment). SDV338648.
The Fish Dock is located on a 19th century wharf associated with Hubbastone Quarry to the west. Historic mapping & photographs depict buildings & tramways on the wharf. The only surviving 19th century feature is the north wharf wall. The buildings at the western end of the site date to the early 20th century. Other details: Site 1.
