A milepost is marked as 'MP. South Molton 1' on the First Edition Ordnance Survey 25 inch map.

A milepost is marked as 'M.P South Molton 1' on the Second Edition Ordnance Survey 25 inch map.

A milepost (c.1830s) located about 50 metres northeast of Kinsland Cross, low down against a wire fence, approximately 6 metres before a minor road to Ford Down, on the south side of the road. It was found to be in fairly good condition, but with some rust on the metal plate, in 2006. It's legend read 'From/South Molton/1/Mile'. It was not visible on the 11/7/2007. Other details: Surveyed 4/3/2006.
