Ordnance Survey, 1880-1899, First Edition Ordnance 25 inch map (Cartographic). SDV336179.
Small sub-rectangular enclosure, on 'Common Moor', marked on 1880s-1890s 25 inch Ordnance Survey map. Also shows as dark mark on 1946-1949 RAF aerial photograph. Smearing at edges of mark suggest site has been ploughed over.

Enclosure is probably to keep stock out of a boggy area, possibly a springhead. This could perhaps explain the apparent spreading of darker material shown on the RAF aerial photo.
