Full description

Department of Environment, 1988, Bishopsteignton (List of Blds of Arch or Historic Interest). SDV319942.

Chest tomb and ledger stone about 8 metres south of the west wall of the nave of the parish church of St John the Baptist in Bishopsteington. Chest tomb and ledger stone. Early 19th century and late 17th century. The Southern tomb is a low brick chest with a lid commemorating Thomas Harcourt, died 1828. The ledger stone commemorates Barthe Narram .... (remainder of inscription illegible), died 1663. Other details: LBS No 85688.
