Passmore, A. J., 2009, Braunton Burrows Higher Level Environmental Stewardship Scheme. Archaeological Survey 2009, 4 (Report - Survey). SDV344652.

Ten posts in a line and group, north of Roverover Hill. Close to, and possibly part of, a WWII bombing decoy. If so, more are likely to exist in the area.
Visited 2009. Reinforced concrete fence posts, with domed tops, up to 1.40 metres above ground level. Posts formed part of bombing decoy. Isolated post at: 245606134136. Three posts forming row: 245609133860; 245614133831; 245625133776. Posts forming row: 245594133942; 245555133963; 245521133982; 245513133984; 24551213398; 245462134016; 245428134035; 245390134057; 245353134076 (buried and exposed in vehicle track); 245325134096; 245252134138. Note - post to the east recorded under site 74043 may also form part of this row. Isolated post at 245232133892 has pyramidal top and may form part of bombing decoy, but is close to US Army site Monument 73997.
Good condition. Some posts overgrown with scrub. At east end there are excavations in slack for a pond. Some military vehicle driver training in area.
