Passmore, A. J., 2009, Braunton Burrows Higher Level Environmental Stewardship Scheme. Archaeological Survey 2009 (Report - Survey). SDV344652.

The feature is in a suitable location for it to form part of the bombing decoy.
Visited 2009. Single reinforced concrete fence-post on a prominent dune. Post has pyramidical top and projects 0.75 metre above ground. Probably part of bombing decoy. Adjacent to post is a modern flagpost. Good condition. Some natural erosion of dune grass around feature but not currently affecting it.
