Full description
Jenkinson, T., 2007, Sidmouth to Cullompton (via Ottery St Mary) B3176 (Report - Survey). SDV339900.
An Automobile Association village sign (c1920s), opposite the turn to 'Ark Pottery', high up on the wall above modern road signs, on the west side of the road. The original tin sign was stolen in 2006 and replaced by a toughened plastic replica sited slightly higher on the wall. The sign was circular, with a legend 'Automobile Association/Bowd 2 3/4/Wiggaton/Ottery St Mary 1 3/4/London 156 3/4/Safety First'. Other details: Surveyed 21/11/2005 and 13/9/2006.
