Full description
Baring Gould, S., 1897, Fourth Report of the Dartmoor Exploration Committee, 151-156, plates 3, 4 (Article in Serial). SDV337081.
Standing within roughly circular paddock which has ruined wall. Imperfect entrance facing south-east. Near the doorway was a cooking hole. Pottery found (described). Also three rubbing stones, and three fragments of flint.

Hut 2 contained sherds of a large jar with concave neck, and a rounded shoulder bearing diagonal incisions.

Baring Gould Hut 2, excavated 1896. On south-east facing slope. Internal measurements are 6.3 metres by 5.8 metres. Width of wall just over 1 metre. Height 0.3 - 0.6 metres. Much collapse. Two entrances, north and south-east.
Hut circle inside small pound with abutting field hedges. Levelled into hillside. Double walls 0.3 - 0.5 metres high. Possible entrance just east of north, and break in walling due north. Pound slightly levelled into the hill. Adjacent 'field hedges'. (two separate worksheets with descriptions).
