A stone is marked on the Second Edition Ordnance Survey 25 inch map.


Jenkinson, T., 2007, Exeter to Exmouth (Incorporating Sandygate to Topsham Old B3181) (Report - Survey). SDV339943.

A County Stone (c1840) in Topsham, on Bridge Hill, near enough opposite to the Bridge Inn, in a wall on the south side of the road, eight paces up from a lamp post. The stone is worn and dirty with moss on the top right hand edge and chips across its face. A 'C' for County is incribed on its face.
County Stones are found at about 80 metres either side of County Bridges, and were placed in c1840 to mark the boundary of responsibility for repairs of County builders. Other details: Surveyed 18/03/2006.
