Full description
Cotswold Archaeology, 2001, Fishacre to Lyneham Natural Gas Pipeline: Archaeological Fieldwalking and Field Reconnaissance Survey: Preliminary Summary, 7 (Report - Survey). SDV340217.
Eight Prehistoric flint pieces were recovered from this field during a field walking survey to the west of Hemsford. The assemblage comprised mainly waste flakes but included two scrapers and a Late Neolithic/Early Bronze Age fabricator. The northwest and northeast field boundaries were considered to be of historic origin and were recorded during the survey. Other details: Map 1: Plot 003.
