Full description
Department of Environment, 1967, Aveton Gifford (List of Blds of Arch or Historic Interest). SDV340335.
Gate piers circa 10 metres from the east corner of Lower Stadbury Manor. Gate piers and gates probably 18th century. Slate-stone and granite, wrought iron gates. Pair of large piers circa 1meter x 1.2 meters and 2 meters high to moulded capping, topped by large granite balls on ogee base and steps. Pair of decorative wrought iron gates. No longer used for entry to Stadbury Manor, but assumed earlier entry point. Other details: LBS No 99474.
