Full description
Ordnance Survey, 1880-1899, First Edition Ordnance 25 inch map (Cartographic). SDV336179.
L-shaped farmstead shown on 19th century map at Wiverton.

Wiverton 18th and early 19th century farmstead complex is first shown on the 1784-6 map. The farmhouse originally associated with with these buildings was replaced in the mid 19th century. The L-shaped complex includes several different phases of construction. The oldest range includes a two storey barn with pitching door and ventilation slits at the first floor level and a possible shippon below. Brick arches were inserted later. A lower barn adjoins to the east. The north to south range comprises several individual buildings including a threshing barn with attached polygonal horse engine house and possible stables.
