Cholly Moor, Near Jordan Manor. Mr. Somers-Cocks has found Cholly to derive from culver. In the lower end of the field, about 137metres from the manor house, is a small circular hollow, overgrown, resembling a tiny hut circle, which may be the foundation of a dovecote.
