The barn has a ridge height of 7.2 metres.

A former animal stall with linhay over. Contiguous with West Pennicknold farmhouse. Stone and cob construction beneath a pitched, timber-framed roof surfaced in slate and corrugated asbestos/cement sheet. Believed to date mainly from the mid 19th century, though the eastern gable wall appears to be an adaptation of a lower profile structure dating from an earlier period.
The elevation containing the door openings faces approximately due north.
