Full description

Passmore, A. J., 2008, Archaeological Recording of the Farm Buildings at Venmore Farm, Woodbury, Devon, 2,6 (Report - Survey). SDV340781.

Brick built single storeyed barn (Barn 1) forming east range of yard. Now converted into three workshops that appear to generally respect the original layout. The south gable has been rebuilt and probably represents a shortening of the building. It probably originally had a symmetrical appeaarance with a central open-fronted cartshed flanked by stables. Its last agricultural use was as a shippon. Built as part of planned farmstead in mid 19th century.
