Full description
Exeter Archaeology, 2005, Archaeological Assessment (Revised) of proposed Wind Farm at Fullabrook, North Devon, 10 (Report - Assessment). SDV340799.
Course of trackway over Swindon Down shown on aerial photograph, 60 metres to east of present road. This appears to represent an alternative earlier route to Bittadon, shown on Greenwood's 1827 map, leaving the turnpike road near Gypsy Corner, and running briefly parallel to it. A slight north-south aligned depression is visible, appearing to terminate at a mound, north of a fence. Other details: Site 51.
