Current triangular field to east of road was divided into 2 on the Marwood Tithe Map. Western field was called 'Cold Burrow' on the Tithe Apportionment (No.1522), eastern field was called 'Long Cold Burrow' (number is illegible on map but is probably 1523). Name suggests possible barrow site. Close to parish boundary. Slight undulation possibly due to former field boundary, nothing else visible on the ground (pasture). Other details: Site 155.
