Site of 'Ley Cottages' shown on 19th century map as several adjoining buildings and small enclosures with a short, wide track running south.

'Ley Cottages' shown on early 20th century map as a rectagular building to the south of the road with fewer enclosures.

Possible quarry features were noted within the eastern part of the field. The northern and western field boundaries were considered to be of historic origin and were recorded during the survey. Other details: Map 10: Plot 152.
